Are you looking to own your own business or hold a high-profile leadership position someday?
If so, you’ll need to learn how to train others and build a high-performing team from the ground up. As you take on more responsibility for those around you, consider these tips for training and influencing the mindsets of your coworkers.
The power of a smile.
What does it mean to you
and the people around you?
Let’s talk about how much a smile can do to change your day and that of others. Smiles are a part of the “uniform” at Raleigh Marketing Consultants! Business professional never looked better than when it’s paired with some pearly whites. That smile not only keeps us looking fresh, but helps to keep us happy and energized!
Studies show that every time we smile, neurotransmitters, endorphins, dopamine and serotonin are all released in our brain.
Now, I know, those were some big words, but the main point is that smiling makes us happy! The funny thing is, our brain cannot differentiate between a fake smile and a genuine one! All you need is the muscle movement of making a smile to reap all of the rewards!
Obviously, all of us at Raleigh Marketing want your smiles to be as real as they can be, and we may be able to help with that too. Studies have also shown that smiles are actually contagious.
In an experiment, participants were shown photos of models portraying various emotions, and were asked to frown whenever a model was shown smiling. Despite this direction, participants found themselves smiling at the joyful, happy, smiley photos.
When working in an environment with several coworkers, it is important to spread positive vibes and lift up one another.
An easy way to do this is with a smile!
All of us at Raleigh Marketing challenge you to smile at someone today
(don’t worry, research shows they will probably smile back)!
This is one of the easiest ways to keep yourself happy and energized, as well as those around you! Even though someone else’s smile may just be an unconscious, automatic response to yours, the benefits they receive from that action may make all the difference in their day!
Smiling can open new doors,
whether it be by making a good impression at an interview,
meeting new people,
or just starting your day off on the right foot.
Smiling is an effective leadership technique and helps you appear trustworthy and friendly to those around you! I heard a saying years ago that has always stuck with me when meeting new people and encountering new situations;
“Your smile is your logo, your personality is your business card, how you leave others feeling after having an experience with you becomes your trademark.” ~ Jay Danzie
Let us all work hard to leave a positive and lasting trademark on everyone we meet by wearing a smile proudly and happily!
